去年無意間買了一本關於巴拉圭蛛網刺繡的書，
把書給公司同事看時，
產生了好像可以做成紙膠帶的想法。
Last year,
I accidentally bought a book about spider web embroidery in Paraguay,
and when I showed it to my colleagues at work,
we discussed the idea of making paper tape out of it.
雖然平時就很喜歡做手工藝了，
但蜘蛛網刺繡真的是第一次聽說，
從頭開始摸索比想像的還要難，
還發現這門工藝源頭是西班牙的小島傳到巴拉圭。
Although I've always enjoyed doing crafts,
this is the first time I've heard of spider web embroidery,
and it was more difficult than I thought to figure it out from scratch.
I also found out that the craft originated from a small Spanish island before spreading to Paraguay.
這門工藝有趣的部分就是花紋常以日常生活為素材，
大部分圖樣都是有意義的，
但實在太冷門可以參考的資料超少，
The interesting part of this craft is that the patterns are often based on everyday life and are mostly meaningful.
However,
it is not well known and there is a lack of reference materials.
所以這卷紙膠帶中混雜著巴拉圭、西班牙，
以及我自創的圖樣，
That is why this paper tape has a mix of Paraguayan, Spanish,
and my own self-made patterns.
希望這些繽紛花樣能讓疫情期間無法出國的大家，
感受到一些異國氣氛。
I hope these colorful patterns will give you a sense of what it feels like to be overseas,
especially now that we cannot go abroad due to the pandemic.

這套圖的作者原本是我們的業務助理阿利，
知道她非常擅長各種手工藝，
The author of this set was originally our sales assistant, Ri.
我們就很積極的鼓勵她用編織做出紙膠帶，
八個月後終於完成這份特別的作品，
Knowing that she is very good at various crafts,
we actively encouraged her to make paper tape by knitting,
and she finally completed this special piece of work after eight months.
整卷七彩的配色，
搭配各種色調都超適合！
而且有大有小，
很容易搭配出層次感，
我們家阿利真棒棒！
